COWWARR will make a welcome return to its home turf for the first time since round one when it hosts ladder leader Gormandale.
The Saints have plenty to prove and will be out to redeem themselves.
Coach Daniel Sandeman said there had been plenty of early season talk among his squad about the round seven clash.
``Prior to the season the guys marked down the match against Gormandale as one they wanted to win,'' Sandeman said.
``There's a bit of rivalry between the two sides and the early pre-season talk about Gormandale has certainly played into the guys' minds that this is one of the teams to beat this year.''
Knowing that their backs are very much against the wall coming off a loss, Sandeman said there were a few things working in the Saints' favour.
``We know that it is going to be a tough task, a huge one,'' he said.
``Gormandale have shown that they are the side to beat, they have smashed teams in past weeks, where we have just got over the line.
``We have a few things in our favour, they're coming off a six day break and a physical encounter at that, which would have extended the players' energy.''
Cowwarr was missing 11 players last week and will welcome the inclusion of up to three players returning from injury for the big clash.
Sandeman said shutting down the midfield and forward structure was the key to beating the Tigers.
He will be working on restricting the Tigers' free flowing play.
He said the clash would provide him with an indication about where his side is at.
``We certainly want to challenge them and see how we match up against the in-form side of the competition,'' Sandeman said.
``We will be out to hunt them and see where we are at, identifying where we need to improve.''
Injuries may hurt Pies' chances
ROSEDALE has its sights set on claiming its fourth win of the season when it hosts Glengarry.
The Pies suffered several injuries in their physical encounter with Gormandale and will get little reprieve against the Blues.
Rosedale blitzed Sale City last week with an 11 goal to three second half.
The Blues' strong forward structure of the Brad and Joe Caldwell, Ben Macreadie and midfielder Justin Emery will be sure to trouble the Pies' defence.
Glengarry's backline is set for another test after enduring immense pressure on Sunday against Gormandale.
Churchill to recover
STRATFORD will be out to restore some lost pride when it hits the road against Churchill.
The Swans will be looking to remain competitive against the third placed Cougars, after their less than impressive effort against TTU.
The journey to Gaskin Park brings little joy for the visiting side and in its current form Churchill will recover from its week-long break to win comfortably.
Bombers to make it two in a row
TTU will take renewed confidence into its clash against winless Woodside.
The Bombers found the right mix last weekend to seal an impressive 12 goal victory.
They will be one of many clubs trying to gain an edge from their home ground advantage this week as they aim to make it two on the run.
But it won't be all one-way traffic, with the Wildcats improving in recent weeks.
Daunting run ahead for Boisdale
BOISDALE will meet Heyfield in the match of the round.
The Bombers have a daunting run ahead of them in the next month, meeting two of last year's finalists.
This week's opponent Heyfield rallied in the second half in an impressive display of football to turn around a seven goal deficit at the first change and won by more than 15 goals at the weekend.
Roos coach Rod Tatterson is expecting this week's match to be a lift in competition.
