SHOWING up to work in just your pyjamas might raise a few eyebrows but Lifeline's `Stressdown on 24/7' made it all worthwhile.
The national campaign encouraged people to dress in their pyjamas to promote a healthy and relaxed atmosphere.
Held last month, the campaign by Lifeline Australia was designed to encourage people to stop and think about developing positive habits to reduce stress.
A survey released by Lifeline revealed 91 per cent of adults feel stress in at least one important area of their lives.
Lifeline Gippsland CEO Patricia Nalder said the workplace was one such place where people felt most stressed.
``Stress definitely impacts on the workplace and if you're stressed productivity goes down, work relationships are affected so you have to recognise where the stress is and alleviate it,'' Ms Nalder said.
``Have a relaxation session and make sure it is something you can all do together, take a walk up the park and get out and smell the roses.
``If you like reading then read, but just do it away from your work station but if you're feeling stressed or depressed talk to someone.''
All funds raised from Stress Down on 24/7 will go towards covering the cost of running Lifeline's 24 hour telephone counselling line.
``It is vital we all work together to ensure Lifeline's telephone counselling service is available to anyone who needs it, 24 hours a day, seven days a week,'' Ms Nalder said.
